RSC STAFF PARTICIPATE IN KARABAKH WORKSHOP

Several RSC staff members participated in an international expert workshop organized in Berlin on 25 November by the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung (FES) focusing on the “Repercussions of a Changing Geopolitical Environment on the Nagorno-Karabakh Conflict.”

Representing the Regional Studies Center (RSC), Senior Analyst David Shahnazaryan, Analyst Mikayel Zolyan and Project Coordinator Haykak Arshamyan each participated in the workshop and gave presentations on different elements of the Karabakh conflict within the new security and geopolitical context. This event was the latest in our broader series of “track 1.5” meetings with partners from Azerbaijan.

The Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung (FES) is a non-profit German political foundation committed to the values of social democracy. The foundation, headquartered in Berlin and Bonn, was founded in 1925 and is named after Friedrich Ebert, Germany’s first democratically elected president. The Tbilisi-based South Caucasus Cooperation Office coordinates FES’ activities in Georgia, Armenia and Azerbaijan. In all three countries, the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung aims at fostering democracy, peace and social justice through political dialogue, education and research.
