TVP WORLD NEWS INTERVIEW ON EUROPEAN SECURITY

RSC Director Richard Giragosian returned as a guest for Poland's TVP World news on 26 October for a discussion of recent developments in European security.  Giragosian joined host Sascha Fahrbach to review the past week's meeting of the European Council and the London meeting of the "Coalition of the Willing" group of Western nations, which focused on coordinating efforts to assist Ukraine.

The discussion noted that "despite cracks in European unity, there are growing signs of renewed Western momentum in support of Ukraine.”  He also stressed that the imposition of the latest sanctions on Russia represents the “positive momentum” but warned that “the Trump administration’s unpredictability complicates European efforts,” while noting that Russia’s aggression has ultimately “united the West and made [it] new enemies.”
