RSC STUDY TRIP TO TURKEY

The RSC convened a briefing on 6 March to report on a recent study visit to Turkey on 25 February-3 March.  This special briefing assessed the outlook for Armenia-Turkey “normalization.”  The participants in the RSC Study Visit to Turkey, which included events, meetings and activities in both Istanbul and Ankara, included three staff from Radio Azatutyun: Nane Sahakyan, Tatevik Lazaryan and Ani Sardaryan), and two RSC staff: Zara Sahakyan and Laetitia de Montgolfier.

The RSC Study Visit to Turkey was led by RSC Director Richard Giragosian and included meetings with Agos newspaper staff, the Hrant Dink Foundation and in Ankara, a presentation at our partner organization TEPAV, a noted think tank in Ankara, on 28 February (photos attached).

As an independent think tank, the Regional Studies Center (RSC) organizes a regular series of such study visits, with the next trip set for Paris and Brussels in April 2024, focusing on Armenian-French relations and the deepening of ties between Armenia and the European Union (EU), which follows an earlier set of meetings and briefings in Paris and Brussels November 2023.

The briefing presentation notes are attached.
