At the invitation of the International Human Rights Legal Center, RSC Director Richard Giragosian offered a lecture entitled, “Assessing Governance in Armenia: Public Policy Process and Government Decision-Making on 9 November.
With a particular focus on the public policy process and government decision-making in Armenia, Giragosian also focused on two key case studies on Armenian foreign policy: ongoing diplomatic negotiations between Armenia and Azerbaijan and the prospects for Armenia-Turkey “normalization.” These two case studies provided a current, practical context for understanding Armenia’s governance challenges and opportunities.
The session concluded with an engaging, interactive discussion, where participants actively contributed specific policy recommendations, sparking dynamic dialogue and fostering critical thinking on national and regional issues.
The lecture was specifically designed for the Future Leaders Academy, a non-formal educational program, implemented by the International Human Rights Legal Center, in cooperation with and funded by the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Armenia.
